Revenue from cloud computing to reach $1 bln within 2-3 years – Nvidia

Cloud computing will require a lot of chips, and if you are Nvidia, the hope is that new applications like Big Data analytics will also require lots of graphics chips, in order to render all that data in charts and graphs.

According to Reuters, Nvidia is now expected a cool US$1 billion worth of revenues from cloud computing users within 2 to 3 years. Nvidia CEO Jen Hsun told reporters that cloud computing is now the company’s fastest growing segment, increasing at 60% to 70% per year.
