Silver Spring Networks, a provide of smart grid infrastructure solutions, has launched a suite of cloud-based services for utility operators. The SilverLink Cloud services provide insight-as-a-service features, including SilverLink Console, a real-time application and field network monitoring, alerts, and performance data, and Operations Center, which allow customers to easily integrate Silver Spring alerts, configuration and performance information into their existing event management systems.
These insight-as-a-service offerings distribute valuable smart grid data across different utility organizations, speeding their ability to unlock increased value from their smart grid investment, the company said.
“In providing these operational insights as a cloud service to our utility customers, Silver Spring is once again delivering another industry first. The pioneer in open smart grid networks is now also the pioneer in offering insight-as-a service for the energy industry.
“With SilverLink, utilities gain access to valuable operational data without the time, complexity, and expense of building and maintaining custom monitors and applications. Utilities can choose from a range of SilverLink cloud services, each tailored to a different part of the organization,” the company added.
