| May 30, 2009 | 0 Comments

A new report forecasts a rebound in the sale of videoconferencing equipment after seven consecutive quarters of declining growth rates.

The report by Wainhouse Research, says while 2009 will likely registered flat growth compared to last year, growth rates in the pursuing years will match the high rates of earlier in the decade. The new analysis suggests that the five year compound annual growth rate for enterprise group videoconferencing systems, including those systems capable of delivering a telepresence experience, will be 9% in units and 13% in revenues, with the 3-screen-type systems contributing the highest growth rates.

Video infrastructure products are also tipped to expand at a 15% CAGR, with enterprise customers investing in gatekeepers, NAT-firewall traversal solutions, and management systems to handle large scale deployments of group and personal conferencing systems, the researchers said.
