C&W introduces telecoms bill management service

Cable&Wireless has productized its Telecoms Expense Management (TEM) service for customers in the Asia Pacific. The service is designed to help corporations consolidate and optimise their telecoms spending, including fixed and mobile subscriptions across multiple countries, in order to save cost and gain greater visibility over their telecoms related expenses.

The service works by taking all of a customer’s telecoms related bills and then consolidating those bills under Cable&Wireless, who analyses the various accounts, looks for potential efficiencies.

Company officials told CommsDay that by leveraging Cable&Wireless legacy relationship with domestic carriers globally, such as wholesale relationships, together with economies of scale from bulk purchase, the operator can generate significant savings for its customers.

“Telecom Expenses are probably the most opaque corporate expense today. CFOs and CIOs within our customers’ organizations are under pressure to cut costs as well as gain greater control of expenses,” said Nick Lambert, Managing Director Worldwide and President Asia Pacific, Cable&Wireless Europe, Asia & US. “Being a carrier’s carrier and a leading enterprise network service provider, Cable&Wireless is uniquely positioned to work with enterprise customers and their carriers to deliver a differentiated TEM solution that enables our enterprise customers to meet their critical business need for greater efficiency.”

The company will initially offer TEM to customers in the Asia-Pacific region, but plans to expand the offering into Europe and the United States.
