Macquarie wants standards to fight data centre 'green cloaking'
Macquarie Telecom is calling for the Australian government to develop some kind of standard for measuring the environmental impact of data centres, in order to avoid what the company’s managing director for Hosting, Aidan Tudehope, calls, ‘green cloaking,’ by competitors.

Ricoh and Taisei join Eco-Patent Commons
Office solutions provider, Ricoh, and engineering construction company, Taisei Corporation, have joined the Eco-Patent Commons, an IBM-led initiative coordinated by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) that is engaging corporations to pledge patents that help the environment to the public domain.
