30 Sept: Broadband Futures – As Australian broadband enters the high-octane age, Day One of the Congress aims to provide a platform for provocative discussion on the challenges and opportunities for the industry. Featuring a list of industry leaders, including Kate McKenzie, MD of Telstra Wholesale, Art Price, CEO Axia NetMedia and Concept Economics chairman Dr Henry Ergas, Broadband Futures will cover the public debate on the country’s NBN plans, future technologies in fixed, mobile and wireless broadband, government regulation and policy in the NBN age, as well as emerging business and service opportunities for the industry.

01 Oct: Green Telecom: Day Two of the Congress will focus on the challenges and opportunities for the telecommunications industry as the impact of climate change becomes ever more evident in public policy and business decision making. In light of the Australian government’s proposed carbon ‘cap and trade’ scheme, what does the telecoms industry need to do to match the expectation of the government, their customers, shareholders, employees? More importantly, what opportunities will be on offered as corporations look to reduce carbon intensive activities with digital networks and applications?
