Vodafone to halve emission by 2020

Vodafone Group has publicly committed to reduce its carbon emissions by 50% by 2020 from a 2006/2007 baseline of 1.23 million tonnes. The company has already reduced the amount of carbon emissions relative to network traffic by 29% and improved the energy efficiency of new network equipment by 25% in the 2006/2007 period.
